Mercato: Il dubbio Beckford

In questi giorni è naturale pensare che un top man come Jermaine Beckford, attaccante 25-enne della nostra formazione, sia in dubbio per la prossima stagione. Ad Elland road vorrebbero, come penso il 100% di noi tifosi, tenerlo anche per le prossime stagioni, ma lui non pare essere della nostra stessa idea.

I dati parlano chiaro: 34 gol nella passata stagione, ma la promozione è fallita. Il salto in Championship è mancato per un'altro anno. Il nuovo contratto offerto è stato rifiutato, a Jermaine rimangono solo altri 12 mesi. Che potrebbero anche diventare Zero, in caso di offerta importante. Il nostro numero 9 non l'ha mai nascosto: Sto bene qui, ma mi piacerebbe provare a sfondare ai piani alti. Il suo agente Nick Ruberry, leggiamo da Team Talk, lo ha pure confermato: "Jermaine non considererà niente eccetto offerte da Club di Premier e al Top della Championship, questo perchè il Leeds rimane ancora un grande palcoscenico".

Io personalmente sono ottimista: per la prossima stagione, a meno di offerte inaspettate (Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, etc.), penso che Beckford sarà dei nostri. Ma se anche il prossimo anno la promozione in Championship verrà a mancare....
